This page is intended to guide users through various aspects of the classifieds that may need further explanation.
Registration
Registration is fairly straight forward -
All users of the classifieds will need to register in order to post ads
Existing members of the old forum will also need to register for the new classifieds.
All information is required where indicated - Only the username, telephone no. and approx location are public.
Once registered, you will receive an e-mail that requires a link to be clicked for verification. It is important that a valid e-mail address is supplied upon registration so that the verification is received. Once verified you are able to post ads & use the various features offered by the classifieds.
Lost Passwords
If you have lost the password, click the 'Lost Password' link on the log-in box.
Enter the e-mail address that you registered with.
An e-mail will be sent to you to verify the process.
Click the link in the verification e-mail - this resets the password.
Check your e-mail once again - you will receive a mail containing your new password & your original username.
Posting Ads
The process of posting your ads is simple...
Find the category that best describes your item
If the category has sub-categories it is not possible to post into the main category - in this case choose the sub-category that best describes your item. (fig 1)
Once you have located the correct category - Click the link below the listings 'Click here to place an ad in this category' (fig 2)
Fill in the details of your item as required
Choose the amount of time for an ad to remain active (ads can be reactivated once expired) The maximum time any ad can be active is currently 31 days. (fig 3)
Once you are satisfied with your ad - click 'Place Ad' to submit your ad to the classifieds. (fig 3)
Deleting/Editing Ads
Log in to the classifieds
On your user control panel click 'My Ads' (fig 4)
You will see all ads posted by you. Active ads will have a timer countown to the expiry date.
Select which ad you wish to edit/delete by clicking on the item link as shown. (fig 4)
Look for the Edit/Delete links on the page (with the item description)
Select which option you desire - perform the edit or delete the ad.
Relisting/Activating Ads
Follow the steps for Deleting/Editing Ads as above
Select the ad that you wish to re-activate
On the ad description page there will be a link to 'Re-Post Item' ... click the link.
Edit the description to reflect any changes that you wish to be displayed

Once you are satisfied with your ad - click 'Place Ad' to re-submit your ad to the classifieds. (fig 3)
